Have you booked yet for the 2024 National Safeguarding Conference?
How can you try to ensure you are preventing abuse in your parish, diocese, religious community or lay organisation? At the 2024 National Safeguarding Conference, you can learn from - and with - others who have experience and expertise in this area. At our annual conference, there should be representation from every deanery in every diocese, every religious congregation (male & female) and every lay Catholic organisation in Scotland.
The keynote presentation from Stuart Allardyce (Lucy Faithfull Foundation) will focus on how to be alert to early signs of boundary violations and on effective strategies for preventing abuse in faith organisation settings. 'Tasters' sessions will provide practical advice on
- how the vulnerable can reach out to others for help (Safe HANDS)
- how language is so important when responding to abuse disclosures (Safe WORDS)
- how to be alert to the dangers of harmful behaviour online (Safe ONLINE)
- the issues and needs associated with assessing potential safeguarding risks (Safe SPACES).
Book a place to attend (IN PERSON or ONLINE) the National Safeguarding Conference in Glasgow on Saturday 16th November 2024. Details & Booking Form here: https://bit.ly/4bTXNyZ.
